Description

Sleepy Hollow (1999) is a gothic supernatural horror film directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci and Miranda Richardson. The film is a loose adaptation of Washington Irving s 1820 short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and follows Ichabod Crane, a New York City constable sent to the village of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of decapitations attributed to the legendary Headless Horseman. Notable for its atmospheric visuals and blending of horror with dark fantasy elements, the film received critical acclaim and won the Academy Award for Best Art Direction.
